Apple pull-apart bread
Recipe · Baking

Ingredients
Dough:
- 11 grams dried yeast
- 50 grams SteviJa Kristal®
- 1.5 dl warm milk
- 350 grams flour
- 40 grams melted butter
- 1 egg yolk
Filling:
- 300 grams apple (or pear)
- 100 grams walnuts
- 30 grams melted butter
- 30 grams SteviJa Zoetpoeder®
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tablespoon SteviJa Kristal®
- Springform tin (approx. 22 cm, greased)
Preparation
Dough:
Preheat the oven to 160 °C.
Mix the ingredients in a bowl and knead them firmly on a floured work surface for 5 minutes into an elastic dough. Add a little extra flour if the dough is too sticky.
Cover the bowl and leave the dough to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Filling:
In a food processor, chop the apples, nuts, butter and the Zoetpoeder into a mixture that is still slightly coarse.
Roll out the dough into a sheet of about 35 x 25 cm and spread the apple mixture over it.
Roll up the filled dough (not too tightly) and cut the roll into 9 slices. Arrange the slices like a flower in the springform tin and cover the tin with a cloth. Leave the dough to rise in a warm place for another hour.
Brush the dough with the egg and sprinkle it with the Kristal. Bake the bread for 45 minutes until crisp and brown.
Tip: Instead of walnuts you can also use pecans or hazelnuts.
