About this product

Stevia Zoetpoeder (sweet powder) is steviol glycosides* (*E960a) enriched with inulin, an easily soluble fibre that occurs in chicory, agave, fruit and vegetables. Thanks to the added inulin, this sweet powder is a perfect alternative to icing sugar, with no less than 90% fibre. Stevia Zoetpoeder is also easy to dose: a quarter of a teaspoon equals one teaspoon of sugar. During baking, the sweetening power of the stevia in Stevia Zoetpoeder comes out even better, so a little goes a long way. One jar of Stevia Zoetpoeder is enough to bake about 10 cakes.

Thanks to the inulin, Stevia Zoetpoeder has preserving properties comparable to sugar. The sweetening power of Zoetpoeder compared with sugar varies from 1:4 to 1:12 (the more sugar you replace, the less Zoetpoeder you need).

The packaging is also 100% recyclable and already 80% recycled!

Ingredients

  • Inulin from chicory
  • Steviol glycosides

Description of ingredients

Steviol glycosides
Stevia is grown on plantations in South America and Asia. Paraguay and China in particular are major producers. After harvesting, the stevia is dried and, at centrally located sites, the concentrated sweetener is obtained from the plant through an extraction process. This sweet white powder is as much as 300 to 400 times sweeter than sugar.

Inulin
Inulin is a soluble fibre from chicory root and is used as a carrier in Stevia Zoetpoeder.

How to use

Stevia Zoetpoeder can be used in, among other things:

  • In coffee, tea, yoghurt, porridge and cold drinks
  • In sauces, soups, marinades, dressing and olive oil
  • For making jam, ice cream and stewed pears
  • Over strawberries, carrots, pancakes, etc.

Stevia Zoetpoeder remains stable up to 200°C. That makes it suitable for baking, for example:

  • (Cup)cake, spice cake, apple pie and cream cheese cake
  • Brownies, muffins, English scones and peanut cookies
